Writing this journal critique helped me learn how to read and think about research in a deeper way. I agreed with the study's finding that placing an implant right after an extraction helps keep the bone level stable, but I did not agree with what it said about bone grafting because I think every patient's situation is different. Doing this paper showed me that it's okay to question research and not just accept everything I read. I also learned how to connect what I read in studies to what I already know from school and clinic. This experience helped me feel more confident in using research to make good decisions for patients in the future.
