Before dental hygiene school, I assisted my periodontist in different surgeries over the years. We created a strong friendship, but we also were great working together. I eventually became his lead assistant, ran the I.V. Sedation unit and managed the back office of other assistants. This experience with him really shaped my understanding of hygiene and created an excitement for dentistry.
